Catherine Yates

Mrs. Catherine McDaniel Yates of Martin, age 89, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at her residence.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 26, 2016, 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be Monday, March 28, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at the Martin Church of Christ with Bro. Ricky Phillips officiating. Entombment will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. at the church for one hour prior to funeral service at 11:00 A.M..

Mrs. Yates was preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. Yates; her parents, Odus McDaniel and Nellie Dunn McDaniel.

Mrs. Yates was a retired investment supervisor with National Bank of Detroit. She was a member of Martin Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children, Ann (John) Trudell of LaQuinta, California, Carol (John) Marra of Hickory, North Carolina and Susan C. (Kenneth) Einstein of Martin; two grandchildren, Sarah Trudell (Ryan) McCoy and Shannon (Eric Etheridge) Trudell both of Los Angeles, California; three great-grandchildren, Kate Trudell, Ella Etheridge and Van McCoy. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Yates of Sharon.
