Mrs. Carrie Ann Rowlett passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at her daughter's home after a short illness.
She was born on March 17, 1931 in Greenfield, Tennessee to Johnnie and Bessie Bogle Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Norman) Brown; grandchildren, Sherrie (Henry) Sturkie, Cory (Becky) Brown; great-grandchildren, Bethany (Jake) Hart, Bentlee (Josh) Gurley, Katie Beth Brown and Anna Claire Brown; great great-grandchildren, Millie and Matthew Hart and Gatlin Gurley; step-daughter, Lynda Visek; step granddaughter, Carrie Beth Visek.
She was preceded in death by her husband, JD Rowlett who she married on April 16, 1949, he died in 1982, four brothers, Johnnie Williams, Marvin Williams, Tucker Williams and Tommy Cole; four sisters, Alvah Brewer McMinn, Daisey Bessent, Vivian Wilson and Elaine Williams.
Mrs. Rowlett worked for Stewart Warner in Chicago and she retired from Martin Manufacturing Company. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Martin.
In her later life, she was known to most as GranGran. She was beloved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Graveside Service will be Wednesday, September 22, 2021, 12:00 Noon at Public Wells Cemetery in Martin. Family will serve as Pallbearers.
