Mr. Carl D. Porter, age 92, died Monday, May 20, 2013, at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, Tennessee.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013, in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, KY at 12:00 Noon. Friends may assemble in the cemetery at 11:45 A.M. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Martin, Tennessee.
Mr. Porter was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian F. Porter; his parents, Benjamin Porter and Susan Dasher Porter. He is survived by his daughter, Rev. Dr. SusanLee (Stuart) Clements of Martin.
Mr. Porter retired from furniture sales and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Martin. He was a member of St. Matthews Mansonic Lodge #906 in Louisville, KY. He was U.S. Navy WW II veteran.
