Mr. Carl J. Carter, age 79, of Martin died Monday, July 2, 2012, at Madison County Hospital in Jackson, TN.
Funeral service will be Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Murphy Funeral Home; 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.
Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Agnes Morris Carter of Martin; his son Ricky (Debbie) Carter of Dresden; his daughter, Deniece(Horry) Dunagan of Trenton, TN; his sister, Betty Ayers of Martin; four grandchildren, Anthony (Dena)Carter, Brandi (Brad) Heins, Jada (Chad) Scruggs, Rebekah (Benji) Baker; 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Carter and Rene Jackson Carter; brothers, Thomas Carter and Fred Carter; sisters, Louise Brackett and Rebecca White Winston.
Mr. Carter retired from Kellwood. He was a graduate of Martin High School and a member of Central Baptist Church.
