Bubba Vickers

Mr. Oscar Wren "Bubba" Vickers, age 86, died Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Van Ayer Nursing and Rehab Center in Martin.

Funeral service will be Thursday, December 8, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Sharon, TN with Rev. Josh Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery in Martin.  Visitation will be Thursday at the church beginning at 11:00 A.M. until funeral time at 2:00.

Pallbearers are Justin Easterwood, Jordan Easterwood, Mason Wortham, Jared Wortham, Cory Garrett and Matthew Vincent.  Honorary Pallbearers are Ronnie Gaylord, Phillip Clark, Henry Sturkie, Bill Brewer, Doug Copeland and Brad Robinson.

Mr. Vickers is survived by his children, Zann (Joe) Wortham and Stan (Regina) Vickers both of Martin; one brother, Robert Ray (Peggy) Vickers of Sharon; four grandchildren, Justin (Catherine) Easterwood, Jordan (Lauren) Easterwood, Mason Wortham, Jared Wortham; five great-grandchildren, Emma, Reid and Hayes Easterwood, Charley and Collins Easterwood. 

Mr. Vickers owned and operated Sand Mountain Shoe Company for over 50 years.  He was a veteran of the Tennessee National Guard and a member of Sharon First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ennis Vickers; his son-in-law, Johnny Easterwood.

Memorial requested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
