Brian "Bub" Hicks

Mr. Brian Michael "Bub" Hicks, age 40, died Sunday, January 17, 2016, in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 23, 2016, 2:00 P.M. at Central Baptist Church in Martin with Rev. Jerry Powell officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday beginning at 11:00 A.M. until funeral time at 2:00 P.M.

Mr. Hicks is survived by his wife, Mendy Dayle Lewallen Hicks of Spring Hill, TN; his children, Mary Chandler Hicks and Hudson Michael Hicks; his mother, Shelia Vowell Hicks of Springville, TN; his father and step-mother, Michael "Mickey" Hicks and Stacey Robbins Hicks; his sister, Katie Bottorff; grandfather, Elmo Ables; two uncles, Marty Ables and Chuck (Julie) Ables all of Martin.

Brian was a graduate of Obion County Central High School and The University of Tennessee at Martin. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and a member of Station Hill Church in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

He was an avid outdoorsmen with a love for hunting and fishing. Brian had a deep love for people and never met a stranger. He was a loving son, a devoted husband and he adored his two beautiful children.

Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Glenn Douglas Vowell and Ruth Marie Allison Vowell; his paternal grandmother, Sally Ables; one uncle, Ronald Douglas Vowell.

Pallbearers will be Tripp Powers, Jon Ed Powers, Kelley Powers, Trent Allman, Mike Hopper and Mike Roney.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, January 29, 2016, at Station Hill Church in Spring Hill, Tennessee at 7:00 P.M. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:30 P.M. until service time at 7:00 P.M.
