Mr. Bobby Gene Swift, age 55, of Martin died Wednesday, 08/08/2012, at Van Ayer Manor Nursing Home.
Graveside service will be Thursday, 08/09/2012, at Bible Union Cemetery in Martin. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home on Thursday.
Mr. Swift is survived by his sisters, Marie Lawson of Benton, Illinois, Betty (Bob) Miller of Bloomington, Indiana, Mildred (Kenneth) Mezo of North Branch, Michigan and Frankie (Mike) Bomar of Valdosta, Georgia; his brothers, Curtis (Brenda) Swift and Darrell Lee Swift both of Benton, Illinois; his special family friends, Ronald and Linda Plunk and family of Martin.
Mr. Swift was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Murle Swift and Nellie May Ford Swift; his sister, Ruby Louvier; his brothers, Willard Swift and Jimmy Swift.
Mr. Swift was a former residence of CDS in Martin. He received a state art award and his art was displayed in the Frist Center in Nashville, TN.
