Mr. Robert W. (Bob) Brandon, III, age 72, died Monday, 02/27/2012, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Funeral service will be Thursday, March 1, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Martin; 2:00 P.M. Burial to follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at Murphy Funeral Home; 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., or after 11:00 A.M. at the church on Thursday until funeral time at 2:00 P.M. The family will arrive at the church at 12 Noon on Thursday.
Mr. Brandon is survived by his daughter, Lee (Robert Conley, Jr.) Brandon Mesimer of Martin; brother, Wayne Brandon of Clifton, TN; grandchildren, Madison, MaryKirk and Grant Mesimer all of Martin; niece, Kelly (Darrin) Parks of Union City; nephew, Kirk (Vanessa) Brandon of Nashville.
Mr. Brandon was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. Brandon, Jr. and Frances (Lady) Harris Brandon.
He was a graduate of Martin High School and Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
Mr. Brandon was an attorney and retired as director of Northwest Tennessee Development District. He was a former alderman for the City of Martin and served for years on the Board of Directors for City State Bank. He was a member of City Lodge 551-32nd degree Mason-Scottish Rite Al Chymia Temple and American Legion Post 55.
