Billy S. Simpson

Mr. Billy S. Simpson, age 85, died Monday, July 1, 2013, at Regional Hospital of Jackson.

Funeral service will be Friday, July 5, 2013, at 12:00 Noon at First Baptist Church in Martin. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Murphy Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., or after 10:00 A.M. Friday at the church.

Mr. Simpson is survived by his wife, Brooxie Alexander Simpson of Martin; two sons, Barry (Debbie) Simpson of Jackson and Dennis (Tami) Simpson of Martin; four grandchildren, Brent (Sarah) Simpson, Lauren (Eric) Voorhees, Conner Simpson, Kayla Simpson and Jeff (Amy)Ragan; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Ragan, Chandler Ragan, Karah Osborne, Kaley Ragan and Jaxson Voorhees.

Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his parents, Vascoe Simpson and Valda Strong Simpson.

Mr. Simpson retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was a veteran, WW II U.S. Navy. He was a graduate of Martin High School and a member of First Baptist Church in Martin.
