Mr. Billie Joe Legins, age 75, died Monday at Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.
Funeral service will be Thursday, October 15, 2009, at Murphy Funeral Home. Burial to follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at the funeral home; 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., or after 8:00 A.M. on Thursday until funeral time.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Legins. Survived by two sons, Tommy Legins of Martin and Kenny Legins of Cordova, TN. One daughter, Debbie Ransom of Jackson, TN; two brothers, William Legins of Kingston and Odie Legins of Martin; one sister, Elwanda Hodge of Martin.
Mr. Legins retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber. He was a graduate of Martin High School and a member of Central Baptist Church. He was U.S. Army Veteran.
