Mr. Bill Potts age 80, died Thursday, July 30, 2009, at his home in Martin. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 2, 2009, at Murphy Funeral Home; 2:00 P.M., burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, August 1, 2009, at Murphy Funeral Home; 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.

Mr. Potts was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Taylor Potts. He is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Dave) Van Horne of Brentwood, TN, Pat (Bruce) Jasinsky of Amelia Island, FL, Pam (Bart) Workman of Nashville, TN, Tammie Potts of Nashville, TN; two step-sons, Jimmy and Lynn Howell of Martin; two brothers, Ted Potts of Dresden and Larry Potts of Henry, TN; four sisters, Velma Potts of Fulton, KY, Margaret Cox of Girard, IL, Margie Hicks of Chicago, IL and Doris Callis of Martin. He was preceded in death by parents, C.R. Potts and Byrdie Mae Pickens Potts; brothers, Gerald (Bud) Potts, Bob Potts, Jimmy Potts, Dennis Potts; one deceased sister, Ann Kutchel.

Mr. Potts formally owned Potts Logging Company.
