Betty Teal

Mrs. Betty Jean Teal, age 92, died Friday, March 5, 2021, at her son's home in Martin.

Funeral service will be Monday, March 8, 2021, 12:00 Noon at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Cody Barner officiating.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 Monday morning until service time at noon.

Mrs. Teal was preceded in death by her husband, James Ellis Teal; her parents, Bernard Rourke and Twila McGraw Rourke; granddaughter, Susan Teal Nichy; three brothers, Jerry Rourke, Charles Rourke and Kenneth Rourke.

Mrs. Teal was born in Winfield, Iowa.  She was retired from Van's Pharmacy in Martin and was Baptist by faith.  

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Mike and Donna Teal, Don and Becky Teal all of Martin; sister, Dorothy (Charles) Gerleman of Illinois; brother, Bernard (Corrine) Rourke of California; grandson, CJ (Jessica) Teal of Sidonia; five great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
