Betty Sloan

Mrs. Betty Barker Sloan, age 85, of Martin died Thursday, 12/27/2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, 12/29/2012, at Murphy Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, McKenzie TN. Visitation will be after 1:00 PM Saturday until service time.

Mrs. Sloan was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Sloan. She is survived by her son, Ty (Audrey) Sloan of Memphis; two grandchildren, Lisa Kroger of Starkville, MS and Ginger Smith of Coppell, TX; great-grandchildren, Max Smith, Lilly Smith and Leo Kroger, and a brother, Willian Barker, of Michigan.

Mrs. Sloan was a homemaker and a member of Martin Church of Christ; she was a graduate of McKenzie High School.

Mrs Sloan was preceded in death by her parents, Filmore & Cullie Metheney Barker.
