Basil Moon

Mr. Basil Moore Moon, age 100, died Saturday, September 21, 2019, at West Tennessee Volunteer Hospital in Martin.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 25, 2019, 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Kylan Mann officiating and remarks by Bob Hathcock.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday beginning at 11:00 A.M. until funeral time at 1:00.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Moon is survived by his wife, Colleen Janes Moon; his daughter, Sandra (Frank) Vincent of Martin; sister, Audrey Redmond of San Mateo, FL; four grandchildren, Chris (Kristy) Vincent, Jeff (Michelle) Vincent both of Martin, Stacy (Bryan) Huddleston of Brentwood, TN and Heather Moon of Palmersville; 11 great-grandchildren, Hunter (Blair) Vincent, Macy Vincent, Makenzie Vincent, Jason Hicks, Madison Vincent, Miles Vincent, Summer Sprouse, Sylas Hubble, Alexis Huddleston, Anna Grace Huddleston and Ava Huddleston.

Mr. Moon retired from Argo Collier.  He was a member of Central Baptist Church and was a veteran, U. S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kerry Moon; parents, Allen Moon and Lockie Wilson Moon; two brothers, Paul Moon and James Cleo Moon.
