Arlette Morris Childress

Mrs. Arlette Morris Childress, age 79, of Martin, TN, died Friday, 05/31/2019, at West Tennessee Health Care Volunteer Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, 06/04/2019, at Murphy Funeral Home, with Bro. John Forgy and Bro. Ricky Phillips officiating, with burial to follow at East Side Cemetery, Martin, TN.  Visitation will be Monday, 06/03/2019, between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM and Tuesday 8:00 AM until service time.

Mrs. Childress was a member of Martin Church of Christ; she was a graduate of Martin High School, Class of 1957.

Mrs. Childress is survived by her daughters, Keely (Trent) Tyson, Jackson, TN, and Kristi (Terry) Ashmore, Martin, TN; her sons, Joe Keith Childress and Kevin Morris Childress, both of Martin, TN; and a brother, Tera "Tuffy" (Sheri) Morris, Martin, TN; and a sister-in-law, Myrtie Wilson, Martin, TN.

Mrs. Childress was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Joe Childress, a sister, Anna Laura Bell, and her parents, William Clarence and Lattice Bizzle Morris.

Mrs. Childress was the grandmother of Marlena Danyelle Childress and eleven other grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
