Anne Tubb

Mrs. Annie Lea Tubb, age 95, died Monday, August 28, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, September 5, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church with Rev. David Brown officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday beginning at 11:00 A.M. until service time.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Bell, John Richard Bell, Andy Sliger, Don Waggener, Ken Cavin and Jerry Landrum.

Mrs. Tubb was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James E. Tubb; her parents, William Rogers and Abbie Mae McKee Rogers; six sisters, Evie Jewel, Maxine Coleman, Mary Ruth Woods, Grace Rogers Hastings, Virgie Rogers Duncan and Verna Rogers Tate; eight brothers, Ernest (Bob) Matheny, Roy Rogers, Knox Rogers, D.B. Coleman, Bennie Coleman, Max Coleman, Rollie Rogers and Billy Joe Coleman.

Mrs. Tubb retired from Volunteer General Hospital. She was a nurse and worked over 40 years at the hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin.

She is survived by her son, James E. (Karen) Tubb, Jr. of Sandoval, Illinois; three grandchildren, Leah Mae Tubb, James Edgar Tubb, III and Leasha Jane Tubb; four nieces, Mary Janette Woods and Kay Duck both of Jackson, TN, Anne Johnston of Medina and Patricia Gail Medley of Newbern, TN; two sister-in-laws, Barbara Coleman of Hobart, Indiana and Jo Ann Coleman of Samburg, TN.
