Alvin Shopher

Mr. Alvin Howard Shopher age 77 of Martin died Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in Murray, Kentucky.

Funeral service will be Saturday, January 27, 2024, 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Sams officiating.  Burial will follow in Bible Union Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. at the church until funeral time at 1:00.

Pallbearers are Jim Reynolds, Austin Gardner, Gary Eddings, Randy Connell, Barry High, Brent Little, Derrick Williams and Kyle Jarrett.

Mr. Shopher is survived by his wife, Linda Vestal Shopher; his daughters, Karen Shopher Parker and Kathy Shopher (Shane) Dodson all of Martin; one sister, Rachel Tucker of Dresden, TN; three grandchildren, Jonathan (Sarah) Parker, Ellie Dodson and Evan (Mallory) Dodson; two great-grandchildren, Maverick Parker and Darby Dodson.

Mr. Shopher was retired from Weakly County Electric Company and was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel Coy Shopher and Willie Ellen Tuck; two brothers, Charles Ralph Shopher and Robert Shopher.
